Who is responsible

Gallan Software, an Irish registered business name, is the data controller for alert sign-ups. Contact privacy@prepared.ie about your data.

What we store and why

When you sign up, we store your email address, chosen counties, alert level preference, consent wording and version, the time you agreed, and confirmation state and times. We also store a short sign-up source label and a hashed confirmation token when an email is sent.

We use this information to send the county weather-warning alerts you request. The lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw consent and request deletion by emailing privacy@prepared.ie. Every alert email will include an unsubscribe link once sending begins.

Nothing else you enter on this site is sent to us.

Abuse prevention and retention

To limit automated sign-ups, we keep a salted hash of your IP address for one hour. We do not store your raw IP address in the subscriber database. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days. Confirmed subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Hosting and cookies

Cloudflare hosts this site and its subscriber database and processes connections to serve the site. We use no analytics and set no cookies. We do not sell your data. Confirmation and alert sending are not enabled yet; we will update this notice with the email provider before sending begins.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your data, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission.
