Duracell Plus AA, 24-pack

Why this one

Also good, and sold by Amazon.ie itself: the same Duracell Plus AA cells as our pick in a 24-pack. Two AA per set means it covers the battery radio's two replacement sets several times over.

Specifications and sources

Chemistry and storage: Non-rechargeable alkaline AA (LR6); up to 10 years of ambient storage
Radio requirement: 2 AA cells per replacement for the battery radio pick; two sets need 4 AA

What independent testers found

Expert Reviews, Stuart Andrews

The AA comparison found Duracell Plus a useful everyday choice, particularly at lower drain. It was not the longest-lasting choice in the high-drain torch test.
