Why this one

A simple door chain with reports of easy fitting. Check that the door and frame can take secure fixings.

What was found

What owners report

Several buyers say it is easy to fit and feels solid. One had to adjust the opening to pass the chain through. One unrelated doorbell review was excluded. These reports do not prove resistance to forced entry.

Limits and cautions

A chain is for checking callers. It is not a replacement for a sound door and lock.
Have a competent fitter choose fixings for your door and frame. Ask before drilling a rented or fire rated door.
Keep it easy for everyone in the home to release in an emergency.
