Limits and cautions

  • Fit it where you can reach it without leaning over the cooker. Learn its instructions before you need it.
  • Get out, stay out and call 112. Never tackle a fire bigger than a waste bin, or one that blocks your escape.
  • Use it only on a small contained pan fire if you know how. Turn off the heat only if safe. Never move the pan or put water on a chip pan.
  • Leave it covering the pan until fully cool. Replace it after use. This kitchen size is not a blanket for wrapping a person.
  • The shop photo shows an older EN 1869 label than the current maker sheet. Ask the shop which version it supplies.
